Shubman Gill, the Indian opening batsman, made a triumphant return to the practice nets as they prepared for the highly anticipated clash with Pakistan in the World Cup. His absence from the first two matches of the tournament was due to a bout of dengue fever.
Gill, who had been unwell, was replaced by the versatile wicketkeeper-batsman, Ishan Kishan, in the pivotal encounters against Australia and Afghanistan. As per a report from PTI, Gill engaged in strenuous sprints and drills under the watchful supervision of team physician Dr. Rizwan at the match venue in Ahmedabad.
